Fortum installs Älyboksi meters for all electricity network customers by 2013

Fortum electricity network customers will receive their smart meters between 2010 and 2013, one area at a time. The first Älyboksi meters were installed in autumn 2010 in Järvenpää. The installation is free of charge for customers, and changing the meters will not affect electricity prices.

Installation time will be notified in advance

We will inform all customers well in advance of  the installation of their Fortum Älyboksi meter. If the old meter is in an accessible location, you do not have to be at home during the installation. The customers will be given a one week notice of the installation and there will be another notification placed in the common hallways when the installations are taking place.

If the meter is located inside your apartment or in a locked space, someone will need to let the installer in. You will receive a proposed installation time approximately one week before the installations. All installers carry a Fortum ID card.

If your receive a proposal for the installation time and your meter is in an accessible location, please update your meter information at www.fortum.fi/mittarinsijainti.

Remember to confirm the proposed installation time

Please remember to confirm the proposed time suits you! If necessary, you can book a new time here.

The installation will cause max 30 minute break in electricity supply. If you are dependent of continuous electricity supply for example for health reasons, you can contact our customer service number 0800 1 48400 (Mon-Fri 7–21, Sat-Sun 8–16) after getting the installation information.
