Since 2008, we have used our Employee Engagement survey, Fortum Sound, to measure employee satisfaction and engagement towards our business activities, common targets, customers and leadership. Through Fortum Sound, we can measure our employees' opinions regarding the status in the organization and make sure we are on the right track with our development actions.The latest Sound survey was conducted in October 2014.
According to the results, the well-being of our employees is on good level, the work ability is strong and employees feel they are able to balance between work and private life. The overall Engagement Index has improved from 65 % in 2012 to 70 % in 2014. On Corporate level, the most important development areas are to improve communication and dialogue on strategy and organizational changes, and to improve collaboration across borders.
The Fortum Sound survey is conducted approximately every 18 months. In the 2014 survey the response rate was 84 % (2012: 79%).
