Recruitment process

All open positions at Fortum are published in our Career web pages and you can apply for them by filling in an electronic
application through our e-Recruitment tool. In the application, we ask you about your educational background, competences and work experience. You will also have the possibility to attach your CV and cover letter. Remember, your application is essential in marketing your skills and know-how to our recruiting managers. Bear this in mind when filling in your application. Please explain why you are applying for the specific job, how you can be a part of our success and how we can contribute to your career.

Leave an open application

If you do not find any interesting positions right away, you have a possibility to activate the Career Watch with certain criteria. When a position that matches your criteria becomes available, you will receive an email notification. You can also leave an open application through the system.

The length of the recruitment process at Fortum may vary a lot depending on the recruitment. It can take from one month up to three months. If the process is delayed, you will be notified about it through e-mail.

The recruitment process at Fortum includes a minimum of two interviews. One is conducted by the recruiting manager and the other by the HR representative. To make sure that the right candidate will be chosen for the position we may use assessments. Our policy is that we conduct assessments from key expert level and above.

In some recruitment cases we use our preselected recruitment vendors to assist us in the process. We have agreed particular recruitment procedures with our preselected vendors to ensure the recruitments are handled with Fortum's quality requirements, thus adding value to our recruitment process.
