Fortum Service has signed a 15-year operation and maintenance agreement with Trianel Energie of Germany. The agreement covers the 800 MW combined cycle gas turbine power plant in Hamm-Uentrop, Germany. The mobilisation phase of the contract will start in September 2006.
The combined cycle gas turbine power plant represents state-of-the-art technology and will be ready for commercial use in September 2007.
Trianel Energie is owned by 28 German, Austrian and Dutch regional power companies.
”Service won the deal in a tough international bidding race. Our merits were our long-term references in operating and maintaining combined cycle gas turbine plants, experience with similar types of plants, as well as our competitive, customer-specific concept”, explains Osmo Lähelmä from Fortum Service.
Fortum Service provides operation and maintenance services for industry and energy companies in the Nordic countries and in selected international markets in Europe and Asia.
