Fortum signs new revolving loan facility

Fortum Corporation has signed a EUR 1,200 million Syndicated Revolving Credit Facility. The proceeds of the facility will be used for general corporate purposes and to refinance the existing loan facility of EUR 1,200 million signed in April 2003.


The facility has a maturity of five years with an extension option of up to seven years, a margin of 25 bp and utilisation fees of 5 bp if more than 50% of the facility is drawn.


A very successful syndication resulted in a 90% oversubscription and a group of 21 banks.


Mandated Lead Arrangers for the transaction were Barclays Capital, BNP Paribas, Citigroup Global Markets Limited, Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and Nordea Bank.


Other banks participating in the transaction were ABN Amro, Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi, Danske Bank, Deutsche Bank, DnB NOR, Fortis, ING Bank, OKO, Royal Bank of Scotland, SEB, Swedbank and Svenska Handelsbanken (Arrangers), as well as Calyon, HSBC, Morgan Stanley and Sampo (Co-arrangers).
