Fortum Powertuning® is a service that cuts your power plant shutdown into half and increases the availability with 1-3 % percent units. You will benefit of methods and tools that we have tested in hundreds of power plants as well as most experienced experts. You will earn hundred thousands euros more annully.

What shall we do?
- You will benefit of the methods and tools and most experienced experts in the field based on experience gained in hundreds of power plants globally.
We will do this during 12 months:
- analyse your plant and agree on performance indicators. Identify the 50 most critical components, based on reliability analysis.
- tune up the operation and maintenance programs for the critical components, both for short-term and long-term.
- train your personnel to avoid the unplanned shutdowns and to optimise the planned overhauls.
- make the development plan for the next years: operational and production processes and management systems.
- support, monitor and report on the implementation actions.
After 36 months we evaluate the results:
- the amount of unplanned shutdowns reduced into half compared with the reference years.
- the availability increased 1-3 %-units.
- maintenance costs reduced 5-15 %. Availability by 1-3 % units.
How to proceed?
We will audit the power plant together and elaborate a development proposal. Fortum Powertuning® fixed price excluding taxes is 250 000 euros. The service will pay itself by first avoided shutdown. In addition, you will get a result guarantee. If Fortum Powertuning® will increase the availability less than 1 %-unit we will refund part of the cost. If we manage to improve more, we share the benefit. You cannot lose.
