The most recent, year 2010 performance figures are reported in Fortum's Sustainability Report and at the Key Figures section. The Annual Report 2010 also contains a summary of Fortum’s sustainability principles and the key achievements of the reporting year.
In addition to publicly disclosed reports, Fortum publishes internal sustainability reports quarterly that include, for example, monitoring the CO2 emission goals. The sustainability unit is responsible for producing these progress reports, which are distributed to the management and central experts in different business operations. The regular evaluation of division operations performed by the Fortum Management Team also includes an assessment of climate issues.
In 2011, as well as previously during 2007 – 2009 Fortum has been included in the Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index (CDLI). The companies selected for the CDLI rank at the top in their sector in terms of commitment to mitigating climate change and in the reporting of climate issues.

In September 2011 Fortum was ranked the best utility in Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index (CDLI) scoring 97/100 points and was the only Nordic company included in the index.
