Unit 1 of Fortum's Loviisa nuclear power plant back in production after control rod repair

Unit 1 of Fortum’s Loviisa NPP is back in production after a repair shutdown of almost 4 days.

An electrical malfunction of a control rod motor was the reason for the shutdown, which started on Friday 29 November. A cold shutdown was needed in order to change the motor.

The unit was reconnected to the grid on Monday 2 December at 7 p.m.
