Fortum helps golfers keep up their energy

For some years already Fortum has made sure that golfers (or at least their mobile phones) don't run out of energy before reaching the end of back nine during summers.

The whole world is getting electrified, including many sports that might not instantly come to mind when thinking about electrification. However, during recent years, golf has become more and more digitalised and electrified - quite literally - as traditional paper scorecards have evolved into mobile applications. This makes keeping up with golf rounds and tracking your stats much easier, but has brought along a challenge that hasn't been a pressing issue for golfers before – what if your phone and thus, your scorecard, run out of battery during the golf round?

For some years already, we have made sure that golfers (or at least their mobile phones) don't run out of energy before reaching the end of back nine by providing golfers with complimentary backup. All around  Southern Finland, golfers can borrow a Fortum power bank and a suitable charging cable for free by visiting the caddie master's office.

So, if you happen to play a round somewhere in Southern Finland, remember to grab a Fortum power bank before you start swinging away. Of course, we can't guarantee that your energy stays up top par through the whole round, but at least your phone's energy will!
