Fortum's district heating prices will remain at their current level from the beginning of 2025. The price of district heating dropped for most customers two years ago and has remained at the same level despite strong inflation. The stable price development is due to the shift towards electricity-based, energy-efficient, and flexible district heating production.

Espoo Clean Heat turns district heating carbon neutral

The goal of the Espoo Clean Heat programme is to produce all district heating carbon-neutrally in the Espoo, Kauniainen, and Kirkkonummi areas during the 2020s.
