River system Indalsälven
Fortum has interests in ten wholly owned and part-owned power plants in the river system. From the biggest source lake, Kallsjön, down to the sea, the river drops over 400 m − a factor that has been utilised to achieve the second largest level of power production of all Swedish river systems.
The hydro power plant Krångede, which with its production of nearly 1,700 GWh is Fortum's largest power plant in energy terms, is located at Indalsälven.
