17 August 2021 at 13:00 EEST
Valkea Growth Club has made an agreement to sell eSite, a Valkea-owned industrial virtual reality startup, to Dovre Group. eSite specializes in 3D-imaging of industrial sites and operating plants to improve project execution and operating plants’ performance. eSite's secure cloud services make it possible for relevant stakeholders to visit industrial plants and construction sites remotely and improve project execution, shutdown planning, operations & maintenance, and safety at the site (www.esitevr.com www.esitevr.com - External link).
“We believe that this is a great opportunity for eSite – the integration of eSite’s existing services with Dovre’s expertise, resources, and tools will help eSite to take their solution to the next level, and grow their offering internationally. We are excited to see how eSite evolves on its journey as a startup”, says Ilkka Lassila, COO of Valkea Growth Club.
Fortum will transfer the eSite business to the ownership of Dovre, and Dovre will continue to support Fortum and Fortum's clients in selected projects and operations. Both parties have agreed not to publish the purchase price.
“eSite is an excellent addition to Dovre's portfolio of assisting our clients in their project needs. It will modernize our approach to many industrial-scale project management challenges and our customers will gain economic savings and higher technical quality by using this service", says Dovre’s Vice Chairman of the Board, Ilari Koskelo.
We at Valkea wish eSite and Dovre all the best for their joint journey ahead!
