Fortum Innovation & Venturing invests in Fifty Energy to accelerate the growth of low-carbon energy flexibility

Fortum Innovation & Venturing announces a EUR 1.4 million investment in Fifty Energy AB, a pioneering clean energy technology company specializing in AI-driven flexibility solutions. This partnership marks a continued step in Fortum’s commitment to delivering smarter, more resilient, and decarbonised low-carbon energy in the Nordics and Europe.

Fifty Energy’s software platform leverages advanced algorithms and real-time data to optimise low-carbon energy consumption and production, helping customers balance supply and demand more efficiently. The company’s technology is particularly relevant as the energy sector undergoes transformation driven by electrification, decarbonisation, renewables, volatility, and digitalisation.
