Spot deliveries
Spot deliveries help to cover the fluctuations in your energy needs by purchasing or selling electricity on Nord Pool. The majority of physical purchases are so called pre-ordered spot deliveries. We bid on your behalf on the energy market to secure your daily energy needs based on your volume estimates. Spot delivery pricing is based on spot market prices including customised payment terms.
Open delivery to customers metering point
An easy buying concept for big industrial customers with large consumption sites is the open spot delivery. In open spot delivery volumes are based on customer’s actual consumption. Fortum invoices the customer monthly, based on data from end-user metering points. In this option Fortum takes care of the customers' total power supply and balancing.
Balancing services
Every hour of every day, the supply and demand of electricity must be in balance in the market. Every actor in the market is responsible for settling any imbalances they create.
Fortum can act as balance responsible party and take care of the customers realized imbalances. This product can be included as part of the customer’s wider procurement portfolio.
