How do I find open jobs at Fortum?

You can find our job openings here. Please use the filters to narrow down listed search results to a specific country or job category. You can also search by keyword or location.

Why do I need to register to apply?

By registering, you are able to access your candidate profile to follow up the application process. You can adjust your profile settings, view all the jobs you have applied for or make your profile visible for all recruiters at Fortum.​

Under "options", you can manage your job alerts, change your password or delete your candidate profile.​ If you apply to a job after creating a candidate profile, your CV and other information from your profile will be chosen for your next application. If needed, you can update this information before submitting the application​.

What information and documents should be included in the application?

In your CV, state your educational background and experience by indicating why you are the ideal match for the job you are applying for. You can also submit a cover letter together with your CV.

Can I submit an open application?

If you have not registered a candidate profile yet, you can submit your CV by selecting "Join Talent Community". Our recruiters will contact you if possible match with your profile is found. In case you already have a candidate profile, please log in to your profile. Under "Search Option & Privacy" make your profile visible to "any recruiter worldwide" and "hear more about career opportunities" to join our Talent Community.​ Our recruiters match Talent Community profiles with open positions and invite you to apply, if there is a match.​​

Can you inform me about new job openings at Fortum?

Just click "receive new job posting notifications" when applying for the first time. In your candidate profile you can later adjust specific job alerts and rules for the schedule.

Can I edit my application after submitting it?

During the application period you are able to adjust your CV/cover letter by logging in to your candidate profile.

Can I send an email application?

To ensure equal treatment and legal compliance in our recruitment process, we do not accept any applications via e-mail.

Do you hire students or recent graduates?

We offer variety of positions for students to work with us as trainees, thesis workers and interns. We also offer entry level positions once you are ready to graduate. To make it even easier for you, we have implemented two filters you can use with job search: “Summer Jobs” and “Students”.

How can I be sure that my application has been received?

After submitting your application, you will receive an automated email confirmation. You can also log in to your candidate profile and check which jobs you have applied for.

What happens after I have submitted my application?

Our recruiter / recruiting manager carefully reviews each job applicant. They will reach out to those who appear to be a potential match with the position to agree about the next steps. If you don’t hear from us right away - don’t worry - that might be because at times we are going through a lot of applications. If there is a longer delay in the process, we will inform you about it.

If your profile and your experience matches with the requirements of the role, you will be invited to a personal interview. In some cases there might be first a short video interview. For some roles, we conduct assessments and/or background clearances. We will always ask your permission to conduct these assessments.

Unfortunately, we cannot respond personally to every applicant regarding the recruitment process, but we will inform you by email if we don't move forward with you. You can accept to be considered for other positions aswell. In this case, we have your profile in the loop and can call you back, with a job that might be an even better fit for you.

If you want our recruiting team to find your profile in the talent pool, please give them access in your candidate profile by clicking "I want to be contacted by any company recruiter worldwide".
