Loviisa power plant Unit 2 is being start-up after annual outage. As a result of a malfunction in the turbine, the reactor of Unit 2 was shut down. At that moment, the reactor power was 40%. Investigation of the cause is ongoing and the unit will be started when the failure has been repaired.
The situation does not endanger people, environment or the power plant.
Loviisa unit 1 is in normal production.
