Fortum Singalong Shuttle, the world’s first taxi paid by singing was introduced in Turku, Finland summer 2018. The electric car took passengers from city center to Ruisrock event area during a weekend in July. The car moved only if the passengers were singing. No cash or credit cards were accepted, the fare was paid by singing. The target was to show how EV’s were already back then a convenient solutions for transportation.
Singalong Shuttle was very much appreciated by the festival goers as well as both national and international media. Fortum Singalong Shuttle was awarded as The Best Music Sponsorship and The Best Use of PR in Sponsorship in ESA Awards 2019.
