Short reduction of power at Loviisa power plant Unit 1 due to main sea water pump failure

The power of Loviisa power plant, Unit 1 was reduced on 2 March, due to a failure in a main sea water pump.  To conduct the repairs, the power was reduced from the normal 507 megawatts to 384 megawatts for a duration of approximately one hour. The cause of the failure was quickly identified and repaired. Loviisa Unit 1 will be back in full production during the day.

The situation did not endanger people, environment or the power plant.
