Learning environment for sixth-graders

Students working in miniature Fortum in Yrityskylä

We have been several years partner in The Yrityskylä learning environment in Espoo, Finland. Yrityskylä (“company village”) is a society for sixth-graders, a miniature city where students work in a profession and earn money for their work. In miniature Fortum the students get to know district heating and cooling in their own hometown Espoo. They learn how district heating and cooling is produced and will become CO2 free in the near future.
