Sandvik has acquired Valkea’s portfolio company Akkurate Sandvik has acquired Valkea’s portfolio company Akkurate - External link, a frontrunner in holistic battery management, offering remote battery diagnostic and prognostic platforms. Akkurate’s advanced battery diagnostics software, DIAGNOSE, provides detailed, real-time and hardware-independent data about the state of health of cells and modules of lithium-ion batteries.

Valkea invested in Akkurate together with Tesi (Finnish Industry Investment) and existing investors including Lifeline Ventures in 2020. The close collaboration with the Akkurate team has yielded good results during the past two years. “The mutual learning and insight sharing in the area of battery ecosystem and diagnostics has been very valuable”, says Ilkka Lassila, the COO of Valkea Growth Club. “But as startups grow and evolve, their needs for support change as well. Akkurate found a great new home at Sandvik, and we are excited to follow their journey going further”, Ilkka concludes.
