Urs Pennanen has been appointed Senior Vice President, Corporate Customers in Corporate Customers and Markets as of January 16th, 2024.
Pennanen, who has a master´s degree in Industrial Management, Engineering and Energy Economics from the Helsinki University of Technology, has a wide range of experience from different industries. He has worked in Nokia Mobile Networks, GE Healthcare, Metso Corporation and Purmo Group, covering such industries as telecoms, healthcare, aggregates, mining, pulp & paper, oil & gas, construction and HVAC. In his most recent role before joining Fortum Corporate Customers and Markets (CCM), Urs was leading the Nokia Mobile Networks business in the Nordics, Baltics and Benelux.

The customer is at the heart of Fortum's new strategy. The success of the green transition and decarbonisation requires cleaner industrial processes, in practice a large-scale and extensive electrification development. Corporate Customers function plays a key role in executing this strategy.
