Energy unites our 700 nuclear professionals, who play an important role in the decarbonization of our energy system. At Fortum, we have a solid background of over 40 years of safe nuclear operations and we are co-owner of several nuclear power plants in the Nordics. We implement own nuclear power projects, have strong focus in nuclear R&D and provide expertise to new nuclear and hydrogen projects. Through extensive inhouse competence we also offer our services to nuclear industry globally and are investigating opportunities in nuclear new build. The operating licence of Loviisa power plant is valid until 2050, which means that we will need the expertise of a wide range of professionals well into the future.
