What is Hintasuoja?

Fortum Hintasuoja is an additional service that can be attached to the Yritys Tarkka and Yritys Tunti spot electricity contracts, helping you manage energy costs and protect against fluctuations in electricity prices.

With Hintasuoja additional service, you can fix the electricity price for a set period and increase the predictability of your company's energy costs. Every month we publish an offer for a new, one-month fixing period. By accepting the offer, you ensure that the electricity price stays the same throughout the period, regardless of fluctuations in market prices.

Once the fixing period ends, you automatically return to the pricing under your original spot electricity contract. You can also choose to accept a new offer for the next period. This way, you combine the flexibility of spot electricity with the predictability provided by a fixed price.

How does Hintasuoja work?

You receive offers all year round. You will receive an email or text message with an offer to lock the price of your electricity. The message will tell you the current fixed price and instructions on how to accept the offer.

• The Hintasuoja service always applies to one period at a time. When you receive a fixed-price period offer from us, you can utilise it by accepting the offer. The contract will return to variable pricing automatically after the period ends.

• Accepting the offer is not mandatory – you can choose whether you want to take advantage of the offer or continue with a normal variable price contract.

• The price of Hintasuoja is €6.99/month/metering point (VAT 0%).

• The Suoralinja additional service is valid until further notice.
