Energy efficiency

Energy efficiency means using electricity more intelligently and efficiently, which in many cases leads to lower electricity consumption and thus lower costs. By making energy use more efficient, you also contribute to the well-being of society and the environment. Here's how to get started!

Why is energy efficiency important for your business?

Energy efficiency means that your business uses electricity more intelligently, for example by optimizing ventilation and lighting. This not only helps reduce energy consumption and operating costs, but also reduces your company's climate impact.

How can companies improve their energy efficiency?

Energy efficiency is something that all companies should be working on continuously. Even small and simple changes in a company's routines can reduce energy consumption by 10-20% without any investment. These changes can include:

1. Check the lighting

An easy way to improve energy efficiency in buildings is to use energy-efficient lamps (e.g. LED) and turn off lights in rooms that are not in use. If possible, consider installing motion sensors.

2. Optimize ventilation

Is ventilation working even when the rooms are empty? Optimizing ventilation and scheduling it according to active usage times is an easy way to improve energy efficiency and reduce your electricity bill.

3. Insulating windows and doors

Lower the indoor temperature by one or two degrees and make sure that windows and doors are well insulated. One degree can save up to 5% on your electricity bill.

4. Energy assessment

Energy assessment allows a company to analyze its electricity consumption and identify areas for improvement. It offers the opportunity to reduce consumption and save costs. The audit and the process depend on the size of the company.

5. Energy consulting

Energy consulting is a key part of improving energy efficiency. With the help of an energy consultant, the company receives concrete tips on how to optimize electricity consumption in the workplace and in industrial processes. The consultant helps to identify and implement energy-saving measures and solutions.
