Art Centre Salmela is one of Finland’s biggest summertime cultural spectacles in Mäntyharju, Finland, Open only for two months during summertime, Salmela shelters dozens of musical events, art exhibitions and other cultural activities while also acting as an atelier for young, promising contemporary artists during off-season.
During our cooperation period we helped Salmela with renewable energy: the restaurant Kesäheinä is powered by Fortum's solar panels, electric vehicle users charged their cars with Fortum's EV-charging stations for free. Guests could charge their mobile devices in Fortum's mobile charging cabinets and move around by using e-Bikes.
